Negativity and Motivation

Have you ever woken up and realized that you just don't want to get out of bed? Have you ever been dragged from the warm comforting sensation of sleep only because if you don't go to work or school or wherever it will have negative effects upon your life? I do not know of a single person who has not experienced this feeling at some point. There is a trick to becoming motivated to do things, whether they be things you enjoy or things you are not so fond of.

 The trick is very easy, in thought; you simply need to get excited! Everything we do in life has it's pros and cons, it is often that we spend much more time thinking about the negative aspects rather than the positive ones. This leads us to become cold and bitter about this subject; allowing the negativity to poison not only that one activity but our entire day. Thinking about the positive aspects of an event will give you the drive necessary to bounce back from those negative experiences. 
Motivation is paired with that positive energy, one will not be motivated if they are thinking about the negative all the time. When negative thoughts or feelings come around, take a moment and think about why this is happening. Is someone else's bad mood bring you down? Take a break get from them, if you can not then remind yourself that your mood does not have to be their mood. It is not always easy, I won't lie to you that way, however, with some practice it becomes easier over time. 

Sometimes we have to just stick to it; need to exercise more but don't feel motivated. Do it anyway! It won't be as much fun, but by forming a good healthy habit like exercising regularly, you will begin to feel better and as such become more motivated. Does it sound like I am telling you that you need to have motivation in order to get motivation? I'm not motivation and courage are not quite the same, what I am asking you to do is have courage. Courage to go out there and take the better life you want, it will not come to you. If you want it, grab it by the nose and kick it in the rear until is it where you want it to be. Be sure not to forget to stop and stand in awe at the beauty of you life, your world is gorgeous don't forget to enjoy it.
